WINTERWAVE boasts a diverse lineup of both established and upcoming Canadian talent with headliner, Fefe Dobson and supporting acts such as EverythingOShauN and Omega Mighty. With musical vibes spanning from Pop Punk to Afrobeat, WINTERWAVE will truly capture the influence that Black culture has had across musical genres. Preceded by several successful showcases over 3+ years, WINTERWAVE is AFROWAVETO’s first 2023 event and sets the tone for an exciting year of rollouts ahead.

The Choice brings together some of the hottest artists from the East to the West side of the GTA. This face-off style of this tournament challenges artists to broaden into various genres, create a unique style and bring their best performance. This event will showcase some of the best and brightest upcoming artists and make for a great show to unite the community.
This is a musical tournament where artists compete in head-to-head battles to be crowned as the top performer of the night! Sixteen artists from wildly different genres will square off in the ring in this single-elimination style tournament. Only one artist will be crowned as the choice and awarded the golden gloves and cash prize.
In-between this intense battle for the golden gloves there will be an ART SILENT AUCTION curated by HEARTH GARAGE Collective. Pieces will be shown before the start of each tournament round with a chance to bid during intermission.
